MIKE ROOS specialises in and advises clients on the prevention, investigation and detection of fraud and misconduct. He regularly presents training courses to private and public sector clients. Mike is a qualified Chartered Accountant.

Mike was first employed by PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1997 where he gained experience in fraud investigations and dispute resolution projects. His experience includes three and a half years abroad where he gained experience at PricewaterhouseCoopers in London and New York. On his return to South Africa in 2007 he served as an Associate Director in Risk Advisory Services group. In 2010, Mike joined the Barnstone Group where he is responsible for Fraud Risk Services.

He has deep fraud risk experience and was responsible for leading the Fraud Risks and Controls group at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mike’s experience includes evaluating compliance programs, conducting fraud risk assessments, providing audit support and forensic investigations. Mike has consulted to a number of prominent private and public sector organisations globally.

Mike has worked across a number of industries including Financial Services, Telecoms, Energy, Mining, Financial Services, Government, Broadcasting, Agriculture, Information Technology, Aviation, Gambling and Healthcare
