Our Core Clients

Our people and the clients we work with form the heart of our business.  We specifically focus on building lasting relationships with our core clients. There are no hard or fast rules prescribing a core client, there is however some common factors, i.e:

• Clients with a strong brand and market reputation
• Clients who strive to perform and excel in implementation.
• Clients that recognise and show appreciation for what we deliver.
• Clients who are prepared to pay good fees for services that add real value.
• Clients with integrity and values that align with ours.
• Clients where we have enduring relationships.

Our current list of core clients is made up of the following well known South African entities:

		Barnstone has distinguished itself as a provider of enterprise programme management, reorganisation and strategic facilitation services at this giant South African company. We were instrumental in the management of their Inzalo Empowerment programme and Sasol executives continue to use our resources on a number of projects.
		One of the oldest and probably the best-known South African mining house has been a Barnstone and Kopano (Our Joint Venture with OneArch) client for some time. We are their service aggregator for technology resources and are involved in the rollout of their global SAP HR and Payroll systems. South Africa and Australia have been completed and we recently started in Brazil, Chile and Peru. We are also assisting with the development of the Anglo One Health concept, with the objective to consolidate the management of all medical and health services across the South African business units
		Liberty, one of the largest life insurance and investment companies in South Africa, appointed Barnstone to assist them with the upgrade of their SAP application and support in the SAP Financial area. They have also requested us to do organisation redesign work in their Information Technology division.
		Barnstone has been advising Lonmin on the design and programme management of Policies and Procedures Development and Environment Health and Safety implementations and subsequently started playing a key role in the communication and change management around these initiatives.
		BHP Billiton has been our first client and our appointment as their SAP Application Management Support partner (together with CSC) in 2005 provided the platform for us to launch our Corporate Services and Outsourcing business.
		We are providing ongoing SAP support services to this mining company and this has also prompted us to become a SAP All in One partner.
		DGB or Douglas Green Bellingham is one of the countrys’ largest producers and distributors of fine wines and other alcoholic beverages. Barnstone is currently advising them on ERP system selection which, in all likelihood, may expand into numerous other offerings including strategy development, reorganisation, change management and process redesign.
		Barnstone has been instrumental in the creation of Aurecon by facilitating the merger of two of South Africa’s largest and oldest consulting engineering firms - Africon and Ninam Shand, with Connell Wagner, Australia’s third largest consulting engineering firm. As strategic advisors, programme managers and change management facilitators we are playing a key role in the successful implementation of this complex merger.
		Barnstone was recently approached by SAB to be their programme management advisors on a significant equity based BEE transaction they are planning to conclude in 2010. We were approached based on our reputation in doing similar work at Sasol.
		Barnstone has recently partnered with Kaelo Management Services to identify areas where Transnet Freight Rail could improve their spending on utility services. This work is likely to be expanded into the rest of the organisation. We’re also pursing Enterprise Programme Management services and positioning ourselves strongly to be a strategic advisor to top management.
